We have just returned from a weeks break at Limekiln Cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The two bathrooms were a bonus, the jacuzzi bath and steam shower were a great treat after a long days walking, and the hot tub was fabulous! Porthmadog is surrounded by mountains, and the cottage itself is set back from the harbour with lovely walks close at hand. There are plenty of good local shops and supermarkets in the town within walking distance of the cottage. We went to Portmeirion (2 miles) away, it was our second visit and was just as beautiful as we remembered. We also went to Beddgelert and Betwys-y-Coed in the mountains, Caernarfon Castle and Beaumaris on Anglesey - all worth a trip out. We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine for most of the week, even though it was freezing!
We will be back to explore the area further and would not hesitate to book Limekiln Cottage again. Mrs R, Sawston, Cambridge 13 February 2010
Limekiln Cottage was very well equipped, and in an ideal location for walks in the area. Mrs R, LEATHERHEAD, Surrey 18 November 2009
The hot tub was definately a bonus. Mrs W, WIGAN 01 August 2009
One of the best properties we have stayed at over many years! Mr M, Darlington, Durham 06 June 2009
Our best Hoseasons holiday cottage yet. Wonderful hot tub. Lots to do in the area: villages, castles, mountains and the sea. Two weeks was not enough to see everything! Mrs S, Norfolk 25 July 2008
It was a lovely cottage in a great location - perfect to recharge the batteries! Mr H, Bracknell, Berkshire 11 April 2008
A very high standard and at a reasonable price! Mr W, Oxford, Oxfordshire 04 April 2008
I've already recommended it to several friends as the accommodation was fantastic and the photos didn't do it justice. The lovely finishing touches made the holiday really special! Mrs P, Didcot, Oxfordshire 21 March 2008
The cottage we stayed at was fabulous and well thought out - we did not need for anything there, just to stay longer. It has cost us more money though as now we miss the hot tub and have got to buy one for home! The views of Wales were outstanding and we cannot wait to go back! Mrs A, Redcar, Cleveland 22 February 2008
An excellent location, with excellent facilities. Just right for a break away from it all and the hot tub was an extra bonus! Mrs G, Grimsby, South Humberside 05 October 2007
It was ideal - near the harbour, dog friendly, a good beach and the cottage had everything and was very clean. Mrs C, Rotherham, South Yorkshire 21 May 2007
Limekiln Cottage is a traditional quayside Welsh cottage brimming with character. It has been tastefully modernised with flair and attention to detail. The equipment and facilities are of high quality, and we would certainly want to return. Porthmadog is within easy walking distance and has a magic all of its own! Mr C, Witney, Oxon 06 April 2007
A fantastic cottage with excellent facilities in a lovely location. Mrs H, Bolton, Manchester 25 August 2006
Perfect! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was just great and in a perfect location. The property was on the harbour side, and there was loads of room for the kids to play outside. We loved it. Mr S, Alcester, Warwickshire 04 August 2006
